Dr. Lisa Merritt graduated from Life Chiropractic College (DC) in 1980 and has been practicing in the greater Charlotte area since 1982. Dr. Merritt received her Certified Traditional Naturopathic (CTN) license in 1999 and became Acupuncture Certified (CAc) in 2000. Weddington Chiropractic Wellness Center recently moved to a new location in Blakeney to offer expanded services. WCWC is a multi-disciplined pratice of Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Naturopathy, Dietary Counseling, Cold Laser Therapy, Therapeutic Massage, Fitness and Injury Rehab. Our goal is to treat a patient in a triangle of health from a Structural, Nutritional and Emotional approach. Patients can recieve functional nutritional counseling with long distance apppointments.
Dr. Lisa Merritt is a 1980 graduate from Life Chiropractic University. She has a lifetime of experience because of her late father's (also a holistic Chiropractor) care while young. Established in Charlotte, NC since 1982, she has sucessfully treated many patients through an eclectic healthcare approach. Her center has another chiropractor, a massage therapist and a Pilates STOTT rehab physical therapist.
Dr. Merritt has six healthy children and four grandchildren. She offers an array of guidance for all ages whether it is a common cold, headaches, structural injuries, hormonal imbalances, Chronic Fatigue Syndromes, Gastro-intestinal disorders, cancers, or many other degenerative processes. Many of her patients are treated with a combination of her services.
Her mission is "To Feel Your Best, Naturally". Her goal is evaluate and treat a patient from an "East meets West" approach and help a patient achieve their 100% optimum health.
Undergraduate studies were from several colleges in the Northeast (Farliegh Dickenson, Montclair State, Bloomfield College, Morris County College and Plymouth State). These undergraduate studies allowed her to attend Life University where she recieved her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1980. Many years and hundreds of hours of continued Education allowed her to nationally test for the acupuncture certification in 1998. Other national certifications were from Canadian Memorial College as a physical therapeutic rehabilitaion chiropractic doctor.
Dr. Merritt's interest in nutrition grew and she received a degree as a Certified Traditional Naturopath in 1999. Many of her continued education hours are studies about Functional Medicine , the Endocrine System and Hormone therapies. Her recent passion has been qualified board certified hours of neuro-degenerative diseases which include Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Autism, Asperger's, ADHD and Alzhiemer Disease.
