Oriental Medicine - Body Work Therapies
Qigong Classes
I've been practicing acupuncture in New York for 11 years. My areas of specialty are: chronic and acute pain, trigger point therapy, mens health issues, gastro-intestinal issues and chronic pain issues. I also treat many other symptoms including headaches, chronic fatigue, depression and anxiety. I blend 5 major techniques in my work: Classical Chinese Acupuncture, Japanese Diagnosis and Acupuncture, Trigger Point Therapy, Dr. Tan's Balance Method and Five-Element Acupuncture.
My spiritual Taoist practice in meditation and QiGong inform my treatment. in every way using the concept of spiritual alignment as a healing factor in all the work I do.
I also practice these bodywork therapies: Massage, Zero Balancing, Polarity Therapy, Heart-Centered Touch

Bodywork Therapies

Massage Therapy: Allows deep relaxation and improved circulation through touch. Relieves musculo-skeletal pain and stiffness.

Zero Balancing: A hands-on therapy that balances energy and structure in the bones and joints. Both invigorating and relaxing.

Cranio Sacral Therapy
Gentle manipulation and release of the cranial bones in the head and relaxation of the cerebral-spinal fluid for pain relief, energy balancing and deep relaxation

Energy Healing: Hands-on or hands-off methods to clear blockage and re-vitalize body, mind and spirit. Modalities:Polarity Therapy, QiGong Therapy & Chakra Balancing.

Gua Sha & Cupping: Ancient Asian techniques that frees the muscles and soft tissues of toxins and chronic or acute pain.

QiGong Therapy/Medical QiGong
An energy medicine healing modality that includes Qi projection by practitioner, dietary therapy, Qi "Needling" without puncturing the skin and self-cultivation instruction. For all clients -- especially those not wanting needle insertion.
I have been a student of the DanTao School for Tai Chi and QiGong since 1992 . My Taoist studies are an integral part of my practice. I use Medical Qi energetics in my sessions and I teach patients relevant QiGong exercises to help in their healing process.
My work is informed by the Balance Method and the use of the Ba Gua and I Ching as a foundation for Chinese Medicine
