Integrated Healing, Bioenergetic & Functional Medicine
Dr. Gabrielle LeCompte is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine/Licensed Acupuncturist and a MD who practices Integrated/Functional Medicine (science-based holistic approaches to diagnosis and therapy) and BioEnergetic Medicine.
Dr. LeCompte has a passion for not only diagnosing and treating a patient but educating patients into a new health paradigm of thought and transformation.
At Integrated Healing Medicine and Wellness Center, Dr. LeCompte specializes in Functional Medicine. More than 70 percent of patients in any general practice, suffer from some form of functional disturbances. A functional disturbance occurs when no specific tissue or organ damage can be identified by conventional lab work or other pathological diagnostics, yet the patient continues to experience a multitude of symptoms that can not be explained. Functional Medicine helps detect and identify these energetic and regulatory disturbances. Functional disturbances can be detected early, even from the beginning of a preclinical phase which simply means a person displays symptoms but the cause can not be identified. Disease does not begin with pathology, but with a pre-phase prior to becoming a clinical setting.
Functional Medicine does not revolve around specific sets of diseases and syndromes - it concerns itself with an extremely wide variety of health disturbances. Although many of these "disturbances" seem to differ a lot in symptomatic appearance - including diverse conditions such as fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, heart disease, diabetes, mood and cognitive disorders, various autoimmune disorders, PMS, TMJ, chronic pelvic pain, interstitial cystitis, chronic low back pain, chemical and food sensitivities, allergies, asthma, and cancer. They all seem to share a common pathway of formation of disturbances due primarily from chronic stress, which may typically be thought of as deriving from mental or emotional origin, along with many factors stressing the body, like unhealthy food, nutritional deficiencies, environmental toxins, insufficient rest, infections, physical strain, and injury.
Dr LeCompte primarily focuses on chronic diseases through the use of proper detoxing using medical grade nutrition, homeopathy, along with supporting and stabilizing mood through neurotransmitter nutrition and supplementation. In addition Dr. LeCompte works on reducing the overall inflammatory response by modulating a hypersensitive Immune System and returning the immune system to remember what normal and healthy physiology is and in helping to regulate the nervous system by desensitizing allergens through BioEnergetic devices. Other modalities include Acupuncture, Live Blood Cell Analysis and antioxidant therapy along with pain management using Scenar technology, Infrared and Lazer technology and BioResonance Desensitizing and resetting the body's physiology.
In addition to chronic syndromes, Dr LeCompte also has a strong desire to practice “Youth Medicine”. She feels the term anti-aging is trying to stop the process, but rather when a person can continue to activate youth codons and maintaining an integral and balanced endocrine and immune system, a person’s body and brain/mind can continue on a paradigm that has no numerical value to it and thus aging slows dramatically.
