Experience this holistic, ancient form of Chinese medicine designed to balance your energy (chi) and help stimulate your body’s natural healing abilities.

Acupuncture originated in China more than 2,000 years ago, making it one of the oldest and most commonly used medical procedures in the world.

It is a recognized alternative modality effective at addressing musculoskeletal pain, arthritis, migraines, tension headaches, asthma, tendonitis and fatigue, and as an aid in preventing illness and promoting longevity.

Your first appointment will last an hours. It will include a general health history, a Chinese physical exam, and a discussion about your understanding of how your body works. During this initial visit, needle treatment will be performed. Subsequent visits will last from 30-40 minutes.
As a licensed acupuncturist in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Emily has been providing acupuncture and Chinese Herbology services to the greater Washington D.C. area since 2003.

Emily earned her Masters of Oriental Medicine from the International Institute of Chinese Medicine in 2002. She then achieved her national certification in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Continuing education coursework includes certification in Kinesio Tape techniques which enable Emily to provide both athletes and non-athletes musculoskeletal healing and support.

Emily offers a whole person approach to wellness. This includes diet, supplement, and treatment for many issues; allergies, infertility, pain management, athletic injury, and insomnia. Patients can expect a professional technique and a results oriented treatment plan in their quest for optimum health.

Emily’s past affiliations has enabled her to provide acupuncture services to MLS’s D.C United, the NFL’s Washington Redskins, the NHL’s Washington Capitals and the MLB’s Washington Nationals.
