I specialize in pain management and women's health but I also treat many other conditions. My patients and I have been successful in managing and/or relieving symptoms and conditions such as migraines, systemic lupus erythematosus, cystitis, stress, lower back pain, neck pain, wrist pain/ carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic sinusitis, asthma, menopause, dysmenorrhea and many others.
Bio
Tina Chin-Kaplan, M.S., L.Ac., Dipl. O.M. is a Nationally and California licensed Acupuncturist, Herbalist and Practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as Diplomate of Oriental Medicine. She is also certified by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) in clean needle technique.

In 1995, Tina began her training in the healing arts through the study of Tai Ji Chuan, Taoism and Qi Gong under Dr. Alex Feng. After winning the 2001 Women’s National Championship in Tai Ji Chuan, she started to concentrate her training on internal healing and eventually enrolled at American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) for their four year Masters in Science program in Traditional Chinese Medicine. While at ACTCM, she further received her certification for Asian Body Therapy at ACTCM, specializing in Tui Na therapeutic massage. Upon graduation, Tina was recognized for her service at ACTCM and leadership potential with the Wally Walker Memorial Award.

To increase her clinical experience, Tina has interned at Dr. Alex Feng's clinic since 2008. She has also worked at the Jewish Home for the Aged and the Community Ear Clinic at ACTCM. During her last year and a half at ACTCM, Tina had a private Tui Na massage practice at her school's clinic.

Prior to her Traditional Chinese Medicine studies, Tina was a researcher in antibody engineering and yeast pheromone pathway for over fifteen years. She received her Bachelor in Science in Microbiology from University of California, Davis, with a minor in Music. She has been a published author in scientific journals such as Cell, Nature, Nature Methods and Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.
