Five-Element Acupuncture
Born and raised on the gulf coast of Florida, Kali's training began by studying Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Florida College of Integrative Medicine in Orlando, Florida in 2002. There she met and began her continuing apprenticeship with Dr. Richard Tan, developer of The Balance Method of acupuncture- an efficient, targeted treatment protocol for pain relief and internal imbalances using meridian therapy.

Concurrently she completed a 4,000 hour classical apprenticeship with the late Dr. Lorraine Da'Luz Vieira-Jones, a professional clinician and ethno-medical anthropologist from Oxford University. The focus of these studies was in Taoist philosophy as applied to Five-Element Acupuncture.

She is currently a doctoral fellow at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, due to graduate with a Doctor of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (DAOM) degree in December 2017. This school was chosen for its focus on the classical texts and Chinese medical language. Kali has also studied Pranic Healing, Acutonics, and is rooted in Native American healing through the Lakota tribe. In 2007 she had the honor of working with Dr. Dawa Dolma, the personal physician to H.H. the Dalai Lama and the first female physician to have this position in all of history.

Before opening an acupuncture practice in Wichita, Kansas in 2007, Kali had dedicated over 7500 hours of study and clinical experience in acupuncture, oriental medicine and fertility enhancement. Since that time she has developed courses introducing acupuncture through the five-elements and masters classes which dive into cultivating harmony through the Spirit of the Points. Both combine her experiences of TCM acupuncture and Five-Element acupuncture. She is well versed in the radiant effects of pregnancy, in the power of birthing, and has done extensive work helping women heal from physically and emotionally challenging births.

Kali is honored to be able to offer five-element acupuncture through the Trauma Healing Project. Her practice is located in Eugene Oregon.
