Dr. Perkins is nationally and state board certified by the National Certification of Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and the Florida Department of Health as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine. She has passed her National board exam in Naturopathy and previously had a license to practice Naturopathy in the District of Columbia and Idaho. There is currently no comparable license available in the State of Florida. She served on the medical board of the Cancer Wellness Institute from 2000-2004.

Dr. Perkins has lectured to The Society of Radiation Therapists on the benefits of Oriental Medicine for cancer patients. She has been interviewed on nationally broadcast, Good Day New York where she discussed the benefits of Oriental Medicine. She treats a wide range of patients including professional athletes.

Dr. Perkins promotes a natural approach when treating patients, especially in the fields of pain management, aesthetic enhancement and nutritional counseling.
