I have been providing acupuncture treatments in the Chequamegon Bay area and beyond since 1991. Using a Japanese needling style, I provide safe, gentle treatments for people with a wide variety of uncomfortable conditions. These include headaches,musculo-skeletal pain, stroke recovery, menstrual problems, immune insufficiency, asthma, allergies and trauma. In addition to needling I also use TDP heat lamp therapy that enhances the benefits of the acupuncture treatment.
After having worked in the Washburn area for many years, I have recently re-located to my "forever home" in the Vaughn Library in Ashland. In a large serene space I can now provide lower-cost treatments for small groups. It's a beautiful and accessible suite that complements the healing benefits of the treatments.
I welcome anyone who would like to take control of their health to call for an appointment
My work in health care began in 1978 as an art therapist working with psychiatrically disabled active duty military at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. I also worked on the pediatric ward with the children of military stationed all over the world. I loved my work, but I wanted to do more.
Following an accident with a horse, I was guided to acupuncture in my recovery. During that process I recovered not only from my injuries but also from life-long allergies and asthma. I became committed to healing not only the heart and mind but the body as well, and knew that acupuncture could facilitate in all those ways. I studied 5-Element Acupuncture at the Traditional Acupuncture Institute (now TAI-Sophia) in Columbia, Maryland, and graduated from Tri-State in New York, achieving experience with a broad range of techniques and conditions.
I then came to Wisconsin, a long-time family home, and was delighted to find that people here have a clear idea of how they want acupuncture to help them, and of the healing work they want to do. It's been very rewarding to be part of that process for so many people.
